Why we love?

Hello, all. It is nice having you around again. We are speaking and will be speaking permanently in the future about Eastern Europe , Bulgaria and its  neighbors. For those, who come here for the first time, this is my blog, I am Bulgarian and I love my country. All I want to do is to make you love it, buy yourself.

What actually love is ? Is it about that mad beats in the heart or about that strange look in the eyes? Or it is about the magic in the air that we breathe? All these questions can be answered here , here in Bulgaria.

You may think I am a prank, some idiot or crazy man, who has nothing to do, but write silly posts in his  national blog. No, you are not correct – I have a wonderful job and I do not have plenty of time to waste. I am here to share with you my love, to my country.

Just close your eyes  and imagine you are here . Here in a beautiful country, with a wonderful nature, nice people and music from ages to ages. In order to get deeply in love you have to open all your senses and perceptions , you have to feel, see, listen – to be a verb by yourself and to feel the vibes.  Yes, the vibrations are making this country , wonderful and adorable.

You have to see and hear how birds are singing in the spring time, you have to smell and taste the traditional Bulgarian cuisine , cooked and made in the small villages. You have to smell the summer on the sea-side and let the sand sweep down from your fingers to your body.

You have to listen to 100 kaba gaidi ( back pipes). Pipes are the instruments that we and Scottish people only have . This instrument and the spirit in it, has kept the Bulgarian spirit high and free during the 500 years of Ottoman Yoke. Back pipes make your blood shiver and makes you feel and turn into an eagle , floating deeply true the vast and magnificently blue sky above Rodopi mountain.

You have to watch Nestinari. These are men and women dancing in trance on a coat of just fired fire, they are holding icons of holy man and women and dance in trance. This is something unique, which you cannot see in another country in the world.

You have to dance a Bulgarian horo. This is a traditional Bulgarian dance. As Japanese people, they are mad about all connected with Bulgaria.

You have to taste rakia and kiselo mliako ( yogurt).

You may never come to this blog again, but.. Just give your self a time to think. If you are on an excursion to Serbia, Turkey, Greece or Macedonia , leave a few days , jump over the borders and see if my words were just a waste of your and mine time :):):)

Speed, passion and motors – Bulgaria

Hello to all. I guess this is not your first time on this site. If it is, I hope you will bring next time some friends with you. This post is meant to be a little bit different. Yes, this is a blog about travelling and tourism , but I would like to show you some different points and angles of my lovely country.

People in Bulgaria, no matter young or old , do live riding motors. No matter, if this is a super -speed one, or just old motor, who is driven , just simple for the passion to drive a motor. Also in Bulgaria, in Sevlievo there is held a tour of cross-country motors World Championship. I also have a friend who is driving a cross-country motor, just going with some other “crazy heads” and jumping down the slopes of Stara Planina mountain.

Why did I mention passion? If you are not doing anything without passion, then it does not worth doing it. Passion is that secret spice, that gives live a special taste. When you cross the borders of my country , you will definitely feel that special passion.

Not on the last place, there are special meeting held for lovers all type of motors from all around Europe. If you are travelling by car, there is not an accident if you see a group on men and women , driving new motors or just some Harley Davidson’s.

We do also have in Bulgaria, rock bands on motors. When you  see those guys, the title of the post and the feeling to see such groups makes you shiver. They are wild, free and speed and honor are their main motives and driving powers for living.

Bulgaria is an amazing place, you just have to come and see it with your eyes. But the most important thing is to feel it with your heart. When you feel it with your heart, than the meaning and existing of my blog , will become huge and important not only for me 🙂

What is your hotel ?

Hello dear travelers , readers and visitor of my blog about Bulgaria. When you want and like to explore something, you want to explore it deep inside, to know everything about the object you dreamed of. Not on the last place, the most important is where you plan to stay and for how long.

In my lovely country , there are plenty of wonderful hotels, to be seen, visited and stayed at. No matter what choice will be: near the see, at our wonderful mountains , or our capital Sofia and the see one -Varna, you have a great range of hotels.

This post is here to ask you some questions, why not to be your guide line or guide friend :)Usually no one likes  to be or get advised about anything. I will try to be that person, you will try to point you out some milestones and interesting stuff, which I had learned during my work at hotels and as I had traveled around Europe. Let’s try to make a list of criteria or questions, which would guide us to the perfect choice:

  1. How much means do we have to spent during the stay ? To be in the best hotel , does not mean that we have given all of our budget for it. Usually when you buy you self a luxurious stay, you buy yourself time.
  2. What about the noise? If we are staying in a big city, where is the perfect place to be: in the center or in the suburbs.
  3. All –inclusive hotels , are the best choices for business trips or BB( bad and breakfast) is just fine?
  4. How often do we like to see “smiles” on the faces of the stuff? This is my main key to hotels, which I like to come back. Smile sell, invites, welcomes and gives pleasure all the time, you see it and you feel it is from the heart.
  5. What about the little hotels  in villages, like the ones we have in Bulgaria? Everything is home made, there is no noise in the small villages and the perfect nature, also the hospitality of the owners of the hotels. It is a choice, that always is a winning one at the end.
  6. Do you like and are aware and keen that the hotel should definitely have pool , SPA and fitness? Sometimes fitness is just fine. But the times had changed and most of the people like the SPA procedures, who prevent  them for the every day stress.
  7. Before you go to any new destination, do some research about the food. As I had ensured you, the food in Bulgaria is simply the best. In one of the hotels , I used to work it, there was a guy from US who ate 10 salads a day, just because he liked the taste of our tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and species. You just have to come and try if by yourself.
  8. Does and advice from a friend count? It is a knife , who may comes back to you. If it a first time stay, may advice is to take the risk. Bet on zero, close your eyes and take all the perfect emotions , that will follow.

This is was all for now from me. See you soon in the next article. If you do hesitate to come, just do some small steps: write Bulgaria in all the favorite search sites you know and then become to explore with smile. If you are still hesitating, read the previous posts of mine. Wish you a splendid day 🙂
